Harish rebuts CM’s comments on SLBC tunnel incident

T Harish Rao

Siddipet MLA and former minister Harish Rao has lashed out at CM Revanth Reddy for his comments that the SLBC tunnel collapse accident occurred due to non-completion of the project on time during the BRS party’s rule.

Speaking to mediapersons, Rao said CM Revanth should prove that the SLBC tunnel works were not done during the 10 years of the BRS overnment’s rule. He challenged the CM on the issue and dared him to quit from his post. “If what he said is proved to be true, I am ready to resign from my MLA post. Otherwise, will Revanth Reddy resign from the Chief Minister’s post,” he asked.

Rao claimed that Revanth was not sincere about the SLBC project. He said the whereabouts of the missing persons could not be traced even after ten days of the accident.

He said the failures of the government would be highlighted in the upcoming assembly session. He made it clear that he went to Abu Dhabi for the wedding of his close friend’s daughter.

He dismissed criticism over his trip to Dubai. “I went to the wedding of a friend’s daughter in Dubai. I left for Dubai on February 21 and the accident at the SLBC tunnel took place on the February 22. It is not right to politicise my visit,” he said.
