Former minister Harish Rao today strongly condemned the detention of former BRS party MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy and other leaders at the Hanmakonda district party office.
He said it was unwise to stop their party leaders, who wanted to submit a representation to Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, who is on a tour of Warangal, on the fraud committed by the Congress government in the name of Rythu Bharosa scheme.
Harish Rao criticized the Congress government for retracting its promise of providing ₹7500 per acre and added that the entire Telangana farmers were shocked at the decision of the State government to provide only ₹6000 per acre under its Rythu Bharosa scheme.
He warned that they would continue to corner the ruling party leaders until the promises given to the farmers are implemented.
He demanded immediate release of Peddi Sudarshan Reddy and other BRS leaders from the custody of the police.
