Harish Rao demands Govt. to fulfil Asha workers’ demands

Former minister and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao today demanded that the State Government immediate release the arrested Asha workers, who have been agitating for fulfilment of their demands.

He said the BRS party was strongly condemning the arrests of the Asha workers across the State. “Is it a crime just to demand a salary hike as per the election manifesto of the State government,” he asked?

He said it was a crime to deploy hundreds of policemen, force the Asha workers into vehicles and take them to police stations.

“Why is this government so strict and so tyrannical towards the Asha workers ? Is this the respect that women received in Indiramma’s kingdom? People from all walks of life have recognized the fraud of the Congress party that came to power in the name of the fulfilment of the promises within 15 months.

People are protesting everywhere against the deceit done by the Congress party . The Congress government is using strictness and avoiding it to escape the protest,” he alleged.

Harish Rao said the undemocratic rule was being continued by illegally arresting those who raised their voices.

He said it had been 15 months since the Congress Government came to power and had presented two full-fledged budgets. “CM Revanth Reddy will keep making excuses for not implementing the promises.

As per the election promise, we demand an immediate increase in the salaries of the ASHA workers.

We make it clear that the BRS party will support the struggles of the ASHA workers until the promise given is fulfilled,” said Harish Rao.
