Govt should exploitation of Krishna waters : Harish Rao

Former minister and BRS party MLA Harish Rao has suggested that the Congress government should stop sleeping and stop the exploitation of water by neighbouring Andhra Pradesh state .

He said that There should be pressure on the Central government from the state government in the issue . “If the Revanth government is not able to do so, we will come. Let’s go to Delhi. Let’s do a dharna,” Harish Rao demanded .

Harish Rao spoke to the media at Telangana Bhavan in the city .

Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the state government was neglecting the issue when the state’s irrigation and drinking water interests were being severely damaged by the AP government . “It is understandable how much damage will be done to the state if a government without any wisdom comes to power.

State Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy is clueless about the exploitation of the water. If the BRS government gave water to telangana lands, The Congress government ignoring it and failed to give the water. The state government did nothing even after the AP government diverted 10,000 cusecs of water from Nagarjuna sagar’s right canal every day for three months.

Despite the temporary share, AP has taken 657 TMCs more than the allocated 512 TMCs. Within 25 days, 65 TMC of water was diverted. Don’t the benefits of Telangana water matter to the Congress government,” Harish Rao asked while claiming that the state government’s negligence has become a curse for Telangana.

Rao said that Though Nagarjuna Sagar is in the hands of central forces, AP was diverting water at will without the permission of the Centre.
