Govt responsible for farmers’ Urea woes: Harish Rao

Former minister and BRS party leader Harish Rao today criticised the State government over the urea woes faced by the farmers in Telangana. Stating that in Mahabubabad district, the police had issued tokens for the distribution of urea, he said the farmers in Jagtial had queued up with their passbooks and Aadhar cards to procure it on Monday.

“The Congress government is repeating the tears in the farmers’ eyes that were witnessed in the united AP State,” he alleged.

Harish Rao criticized that Revanth Reddy was credited with bringing the farmers on the middle of the road in Telangana. He said the State government had completely failed in supplying the required urea to the farmers. While the farmers are struggling for urea, the State government is sleeping, he alleged.

Harish Rao lashed out at the Congress government for cheating the farmers in the name of crop loan waiver, rythu bharosa and crop bonus schemes. He said the farmers, who feed the country, turned teary-eyed now. He demanded that the State government open its eyes at least now and urea should be supplied to the farmers.
