Telangana Government today offered Rs 25 lakhs financial support and a two-bedroom housing facility to kin of Havaldar Parashuram who had died on duty in an avalanche incident in Leh sector of Kashmir.
This was informed by minister, V Srinivas Goud to media here after paying floral tributes to the soldier’s body at Shamshabad International Airport here.
The Minister praised that the soldier sacrificed his life and the nation has to support his family members. The soldier belongs to Guvvamikunta Thanda of Gandid mandal, near Kosgi Town, in Mahabubnagar district. Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao has assured of all support and help to soldier’s kin, he said.
We will make efforts to get financial support from Army relief fund and the centre has to support to soldier’s family members. The soldier has laid down his life for the country the minister said. The Centre has to extend support to the kin of the soldier, the minister said. Our government helped the kin of Colnol Santhosh Babu who laid down his life in China attack, the minister recalled.
