Goa Maritime Conclave inaugurated by NSA Ajit Doval today

Goa Maritime Conclave started today in Goa.  National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was the chief guest for the inaugural event of the Conclave. Chief of Indian Navy Admiral Karambir Singh welcomed guests from India and other Countries. Indian Navy through the Naval War College, Goa is hosting this Conclave attended by Heads of Maritime Agencies, Chief of Navies of Ten key Indian Ocean Region countries.

Theme for the Conclave is ‘Common Maritime Priorities in Indian ocean Region and need for Reginal Maritime Security. Recollecting long history shared in Maritime past, Ajit Doval said that sea, space and cyber are going to be the main areas of opportunities and also threat. We have to see that how to maximise opportunities and minimise threats.

He said that India wants to become partner with Indian Ocean Region nations for trade and geo political strategic reasons. The subjects like Opportunities and Challeges in Indian Ocean Region, Forging Common Maritime Priorities, Regional Constructs and Strategies in the region, were discussed in session on the first day of the Conclave.
