German industrialist meets CM Revanth

German industrialist Stephen, along with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Assembly Hall here on Thursday.

The German representative, Stephen, asked the Chief Minister to provide appropriate facilities to set up an industry in Telangana for the manufacture of wine and arak and other related products from the toddy and palm trees.

In the past, when Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and Professor Janaiah went on a study tour to Cambodia, they requested Stephen to help set up the industry in Telangana as this industry was providing a lot of economic employment there.

As per their request, German representative Stephen informed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that an industry to produce wine & arak from palm and toddy trees will be set up in Telangana.

The Minister explained that setting up this industry in Telangana will not only provide professional and economic development to the toddy workers, but will also improve value addition and employment opportunities.

German industrialist Stephen explained to the Chief Minister that he is ready to export Telangana toddy to Europe, set up shops locally, increase the income of the toddy workers, expand marketing to other states and other countries, set up a research and development department, and produce seeds that grow quickly and give high yields to palm oil plants.
