Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu about the rescue efforts underway to save Sujith Wilson. He fell into a borewell at Nadukattupatti while playing near his house on Friday. He got stuck at 30 feet inside the borewell and on Sunday evening slipped further 90 feet.
Officials conducting the rescue operation said the well could be around 600 feet deep. Rescuers continued in their efforts on Monday to reach the two-year-old boy. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said his prayers are with Sujith and every effort is being made to ensure that he is safe.
