ENERGY STORAGE COST WILL FALL

He graced as the chief guest in the inaugural session of AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) Academy sponsored five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Energy Storage’ organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Technology, and GITAM-Hyderabad on 1st February 2021.

He told that one the way the entire eco-system will grow and develop to support the new age of battery power electricity, and effective life throughout the society. So it is well planned in the way we are talking about storing vertical energy as well as external energy for later views, he added. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers to conduct an online virtual session on energy storage.

‘The production of energy is not expensive but the storage is the main cost. How to store the energy, the methods of storage, advantages and disadvantages will be dealt with by the resource persons’ said Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GITAM, Hyderabad opined. He wished the FDP will be a great success.

Prof. N.Seetaramaiah, Principal, School of Technology thanked the AICTE officials to sponsor this program and encouraging to conduct FDPs. 

Prof. P.Eshwaraiah, HoD, Mechanical Engineering and Dr. P.Srinivas, Coordinator of this FDP delivered the welcome note and the objects of this program. V.K.Sridhar, Co-coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. About 200 participants across the country have been participating in this five-day FDP.
