Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed that officials from the Energy department, ranging from CMD level to Superintending Engineers, should promptly conduct field visits across the State to ensure a consistent and high-quality power supply.
On Friday, he convened a review meeting at Praja Bhavan with the relevant officials. The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the Transco, NPDCL, and SPDCL officers and staff to initiate the action plan aimed at guaranteeing quality power delivery.
Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of holding review and awareness meetings focused on the implementation of the summer power supply plan.
These meetings should include not only the officials and staff but also farmers, consumers, and media representatives.
The Deputy Chief Minister noted that, considering the challenges faced during the previous summer, it is vital to articulate the measures being adopted for efficient power supply during these discussions.
Simultaneously, it is essential to acknowledge grievances and complaints from both farmers and consumers.
Comprehensive meetings regarding the implementation of the summer plan are to be conducted at the field level from January 27 to February 4.
The schedule for these meetings should be communicated effectively and publicized widely by the designated nodal officers, as stated.
Vikramarka has instructed the nodal officers to conduct review meetings concerning the summer action plan at both the district and sub-division levels on January 29.
Furthermore, on February 4, the review meeting for the summer action plan will be convened by the Superintending Engineers at the division level.
During these field-level discussions, the measures to address the issues of overloaded feeders in the substations, along with the challenges faced over the past three years in the Distribution Transformer Rooms (DTRs), are to be clearly articulated.
The meeting was attended by Energy Department Principal Secretary Sundeep Kumar Sultania, Transco CMD Krishna Bhaskar, SPDCL CMD Musharaff Ali, NPDCL CMD Varun Reddy, and other officials.
