Cop’s organs donated to Jeevan Dhan

The family members of Peddolla Prashanth Reddy, who recently died in an accident while working as a constable at Kandukuru Police Station under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, donated the organs of the deceased’s body with a humanitarian attitude.

Despite pain of losing their family member, they came forward to save the lives of others, who were in life danger.

On December 28, while returning home after finishing duty, at 10 pm, Constable Prashanth Reddy was hit by an unidentified vehicle and suffered severe head injuries and became unconscious.

He was immediately taken to Malakpet Yashoda Hospital for treatment, but he died on Saturday after receiving treatment.

Prashanth Reddy’s liver and kidneys were donated by his father Nagi Reddy and wife Soumya to Jeevan Daan.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu congratulated the family members for coming forward to donate the organs,  keeping the pain of their son’s death in their hearts. He said he will support the family of the deceased in every possible way.

The Commissioner sanctioned Rs  90,000 for the funeral expenses of Constable Prashanth Reddy, which was held in Uppal on Sunday. Maheshwaram ACP Lakmikantha Reddy attended the funeral.
