Kalwakurthy Congress candidate Challa Vamshichand Reddy was allegedly attacked by unidentified persons in Jangareddypalli village of Amangal Mandal on Friday. Congress leaders alleged that BJP workers attacked Vamshichand. He is now being treated in the hospital with minor injuries.
Police brought the situation under control. The incident occurred near a polling booth in Jangareddypalli village when Vamshichand Reddy reached the spot on information that Congress and BJP workers were clashing. He was attacked by unidentified persons. Police are yet to confirm to which political party the attackers belong to.
