CM Chandrababu inspects fire site in Secretariat

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today inspected the fire scene that broke out in the second block of the Velagapudi Secretariat in the early hours of Friday morning.

He inspected it along with CS Vijayanand, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, Home Minister Anita, and GAD Political Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena.

The CM asked the officials as to how the fire happened and at what time it happened? He said the CCTV cameras should be installed everywhere in important areas so that the causes of the accident can be known.

He asked at what time the forensic team arrived at the fire site.
He asked whether necessary evidence had been collected to find out the causes of the accident.

He suggested that an audit be conducted to see whether all safety standards were being followed everywhere in the Secretariat.

Later, the CM also inspected the battery room in the first block. The CS explained to the CM that it was such a battery gallery that had caught fire in the second block.

Later, the CMRF department was inspected. Expressing dissatisfaction over the unsanitary conditions there, the CM ordered that all the garbage be cleaned within 24 hours.

He said garbage should not be seen anywhere in the work areas, even temporarily.
