Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has felicitated its staff for showing humanity in the line of duty. Manugur Depot PHB driver Koteswara Rao, Gadwal depot conductor Kishore Kumar, driver Narender Goud and Jagtial depot manager Sunitha were felicitated by the corporation MD VC Sajjanar along with senior officials at Hyderabad Bus Bhavan today.
While Manugur Depot PHB driver Koteswara Rao handed over 10 tolas of gold ornaments to a passenger, the Gadwal depot conductor Kishore Kumar and bus driver Narender Goud helped a woman passenger with labour pains to deliver a baby with the help of other passengers on the bus on January 2. Jagtial depot manager Sunitha helped a passenger, who suffered heart attack and turned conscious, to regain his consciousness by performing CPR. The patient was later admitted to Jagtial government hospital with the help of 108 staff by the manager.
Speaking on the occasion, TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar congratulated the staff for their timely generosity. “It is a great thing that the RTC employees are showing the spirit of service as a social responsibility. As per the earlier decision taken by the management to give life-long free bus passes to children born in RTC buses and at bus stations, the management is granting a lifetime free bus pass to the girl child born in Gadwal depot bus,” he said. COO Dr Ravinder, EDs Munishekhar, Khusrosha Khan, Rajasekhar, Finance Advisor Vijayapushpa, HODs Vijayabhaskar, Venkanna, Sridevi, Ushadevi, and others participated in the program.
