A new OTT rom-com web series “Chi La Sow Rambabu” starring Bigg Boss 5 fame Maanas Nagulapalli, Rajanna fame Annie, Vakeel Saab fame Shiva Kumar, and debutante Kallapu Kushitha begins shooting on 1st of March on auspicious Mahashivaratri day.
Regular shooting will commence from 10th March and is scheduled to be released in the month of June. The series is written and directed by PRN Babu, presented by Ramesh Chandra and produced by Ravi Banda. Shashi Preetam is composing the music while Rajeev Vallabhaneni is handling the camera. Shiva Gopal Reddy is the creative head.
This is the first foray of Rudra Productions Pvt. Ltd., into the OTT space. Backed by one of India’s leading IT/ITES companies, the production house intends to eventually bankroll nearly dozen projects in the next two years.
Speaking to press, Maanas Nagulapalli said, “After Bigg Boss, I was flooded with stories but I wanted to go ahead if and only if the story and the narration were appealing enough to draw audience into it by providing an engaging emotional experience. I am happy to be a part of just exactly such a story.”
“This is a light-hearted, hilarious romantic comedy; the kind of stories I have always been fond of,” Rajanna fame Annie said. Speaking to Press, the director Babu said, “This is a hilarious romcom that will definitely appeal to all types of audiences and be a great addition to OTT.”
Presenter Ramesh Chandra added, “In many ways, making content for OTT is a lot harder than producing films for theatrical release. The audiences are very demanding and discerning.”
Producer Ravi Banda said, “We, at Rudra Productions, are just as demanding in terms of quality of the scripts we choose and the production values of our projects. We are bankrolling more than a dozen projects for the OTT space in the next two years.”
