AP Congress incharge Oommen Chandy

The AICC state  incharge of the congress party Oommen Chandy today lashed out at the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi and alleged that the attitude of the PM was not good towards the farmers of the country. He said that only Modi and his party BJP  could ignore the farmers of the country. He said that all farmers should work hard to defeat the BJP at the Center and various states of the country. Making it clear that agriculture is state subject , he asked the center as to why it was trying to interfere in it.
Addressing media persons in the state, he alleged that the BJP had forgotten the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan slogan and mocked that it had completely changed its meaning. He said that they would hold protest programs on behalf of farmers in the state.
APCC president Dr. S. Saialjanath said that the party was strongly opposing the decision of the state government to fix Electricity meters to agriculture motors. He also said that the party was condemning the attacks on the temples of the state. He demanded the state government to focus on the issue and punish the accused of the attacks. He also made it clear that the politics of BJP would not continue in the state while stating that they are also Hindus like the BJP leaders.
He advised the BJP leaders to stop making baseless statements. He said that they would announce the name of the party candidate for Tirupati by-elections in one  or two days.
