Andhra Pradesh state government will be implementing AP 39 registration number series for all vehicles from today onwards. Earlier, every district used to have a specific number code and vehicles were registered with that series. Now, any vehicle purchased across the state will have AP 39 as a code.
Officials of the Road Transport Authority (RTA) say that uniform number series for all districts will benefit vehicle buyers. The RTA department is expecting more revenue from vehicle owners, who are interested in fancy numbers.
