An Air India call center is said to have received a bomb threat call for the Delhi-Kolkata flight, but it turned out to be a hoax.
The caller is believed to have said the flight “will be shot down in mid-air (aasmaan mein gira diya jayega).”
The pilot announced that the aircraft had been “sabotaged”. All 248 passengers on board, including four MPs, were however deplaned for some time.
