BRS party working president KTR has filed two separate petitions in the Telangana High Court. He sought to quash the cases registered against him in Banjara Hills and Musheerabad Police stations.
A case was registered against KTR in Banjara Hills police station on the complaint of a Congress worker alleging that CM Revanth Reddy was insulted by him. The Congress worker had complained to the Banjara Hills police that KTR had accused the CM of taking Rs 2,500 crore from builders and contractors.
The police have registered another case against KTR and his party MLA Mutha Gopal in Musheerabad police station for bursting firecrackers during an election campaign. KTR approached the High Court to quash these two cases. In the petition, he stated that the police registered the cases against him without any reason.
He said he did not insult the CM with malicious intent and added that his comments did not cause any disturbance to law and order situation. The High Court has adjourned the further hearing on these petitions to March 18 next month.
