Peddagattu temple developed by BRS govt: Talasani Srinivas Yadav

Former minister and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav today claimed that development took place during the Telangana State government’s tenure in Peddagattu area.

Along with BRS party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, he participated in Peddagattu jatara near Durajpalli in Suryapet district. The BRS leaders were accorded a grand welcome by the local party leaders of Yadava communities on the occasion. Talasani performed puja to Lingamanthula Swamy on the occasion. Later, the temple authorities felicitated Talasani. A memento was also handed over to him.

Speaking to media persons later, he said after the Sammakka Sarakka Jatara, Peddagattu Jatara was the second big fair to be held in Telangana State and added that lakhs of devotees attend the fair, which takes place once in two years. He said after the formation of Telangana State, the KCR government sanctioned Rs 14 crore for the temple and the devotees and added that many development works had been undertaken by their government.

He reminded that arrangements had been made to avoid inconvenience to the devotees. Reminding that the Congress government had announced that ₹. 5 crore had been sanctioned for the conduct of the fair, he asked the State government as to how much money was spent on this so far?, he asked. He claimed that the arrangements for conducting the fair were not proper and the devotees were suffering due to foul smell and poor maintenance of cleanliness.

He said the fair would continue till 20th of this month.
Yadav was also accompanied by the BRS party State general secretary Soma Bharath Kumar Gupta, former Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, former MLAs Bhupal Reddy, Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Nomula Bhagat, former corporation chairman Dudimetla Balaraj Yadav, leaders of several Yadav communities and the BRS leaders.
