BJP MP Dr Laxman has come down heavily on the Telangana Congress government.
He accused the government of failing on promises made for the welfare of farmers. “The Congress government is a government of cuts and evasions,” he mocked.
He alleged that Farmers’ loan waiver scheme and Rythu bharosa scheme were nothing, but evasions of the State government.
“Before the assembly elections, the Congress government, which had promised Rs 15,000 per acre in the Warangal public declaration, has now cut it ₹12,000 per acre.
CM Revanth Reddy is deceiving the farmers by telling lies and the Congress guarantees are like all bubbles on water,” he mocked.
He criticized that the tenant farmers had been forgotten in the Rythu bharosa scheme.
Dr Lakshman questioned as to why new surveys were needed when the government had all the data of the farmers.
He said the BJP was ready to stand by the farmers in the State. Laxman made it clear that in the coming days, there would be a massive agitation for the farmers and added that the Congress government would be pursued till the promises made to the farmers are implemented.
He claimed that the BJP was continuously working for the welfare of farmers in the State. He said the BJP’s aim was to provide timely justice to the farmers of Telangana.
