An 85 years old Journalist Nachiketa Rao Sepuri seeks justice in an illegal trespass case in the Nallakunta area and wants the Police to act on his complaint.
In a press note issued in the city today, Mr Sepuri said that Police are not acting upon his complaint about the illegal trespass case he filed against two miscreants brother namely Vemula Santosh (Babu) and Vemula Jayanth (Nandu) who have trespassed illegally and occupied the entire ground floor and settled along with their families.
The details of the case are as follows. His sister-in-law, Smt Rukmini Sepuri, wife of his(Sepuri’s) younger brother(late) Sarangadhar Sepuri died a normal death on 19th September 2020. Her funeral rites were performed on 19th September 2020. Mr Nachiketa Rao Sepuri has taken possession of the said house (H.No. 2-2-1123/9/A, New Nallakunta, Hyderabad) and locked the entire premises. Because, he is the only sibling and legal heir as per the existing law, Indian Succession Law. And there is no claimant to the property.
On his routine visit to the said house on 18th October 2020, Mr Nachiketa Rao Sepuri was shocked to notice that, the entire house of first floor and ground floor was ransacked and burgled, breaking all the locks by the two miscreants Vemula Santosh (Babu) and Vemula Jayanth (Nandu). They have trespassed and settled illegally. They have even broken the Almirah kept on the first floor and have stolen twenty lakhs worth of jewellery including cash, property and bank documents. These details were revealed to Mr Sepuri by his sister-in-law once when she was alive.
It is not known who has shared this booty, but the trespassers’ unquestioned, illegal stay for the last ten months raises many doubts, Mr Sepuri says.
Nachiketa Rao Sepuri’s complaints to local police, subsequently to their higher-ups –ACP, DCP and Commissioner of Police have not met with any tangible results. Even though illegal Trespass is a cognizable offence and FIR in such cases is mandatory under IPC.
Shockingly again on 28th July 2021, in Mr Sepuri’s absence, the above named two trespassers broke the locks and gained entry into the First Floor, which was in his possession. He raised a complaint again to the local police, which is being inquired into by then to restore to his custody.
Mr Sepuri wants the media to help him get justice.
