New Secretariat buildings complex has to be completed in just 12 months, according to Roads, and Buildings Minister, V Prashanth Reddy.
Along with Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar, the minister had visited the secretariat construction site today.
He instructed the Shaporji Pallonji company which got tenders to complete the mega project reflecting Telangana culture. The government has awarded the tenders to the Shaporji Pallonji company which surpassed Larsen and Toubro company in the open bidding.
The Shaporji Pallonji company has started related works and the visit by minister and the Chief Secretary gets significant. The minister has asked that six blocks are to be completed in a time bound manner.
At a review meeting earlier, the minister has asked the officials concerned to expedite and coordinate to complete the same. He directed that as per instructions made by Chief Minister K Chandra sekhar Rao the works have to be completed in one year. Each block has to get its technical and other staff to complete the works Prashanth Reddy said.
The Chief Minister had on June 25, 2019 laid foundation for the new secretariat. The government has plans to spend about Rs 500 cr for the new secretariat buildings complex in one year.
Engineering, technical staff and officials were instructed to coordinate for the execution of the works.
