Delhi court dismisses Tihar's plea for fresh date to execute Nirbhaya convicts

National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Chennai today denied to intervene in Telangana state Secretariat demolition issue as the high court has favoured construction of new Secretariat by roving the old structures. 

Reacting on the congress MP Revanth Reddy petition seeking stay for violation of environmental issues,  NGT has said that it cannot issue stall the removal of existing buildings in Secretariat. 

Revanth Reddy sought the court to see that environmental pollution is not caused by the government by demolishing the structures in the premises. 

The green tribunal has opined that the high court and supreme Court have refrained from stalling the demolition followed by cabinet decision. 

On this union environment ministry has formed a committee to report in two months on environmental pollution,  waste management and related issues. 

The committee comprises members of CPCB, state PCB, and  IIT Hyderabad.
