The State Government under Mission Kakatiya sanctioned Rs 282.83 Cr for restoration and beautification of 19 lakes in GHMC said H.w.Mayor Dr.Bonthu Rammohan here today. Out which 14.45 Cr sanctioned for restoration and Comprehensive development of Boin Cheruvu in Hasmatpet, Kukatpally Constituency.
H.w.Mayor reviewed the progress of works on lakes about restoration and comprehensive development in Kukatpally Constituency attended by Commissioner, GHMC Sri. Lokesh Kumar, Hon’ble MLA Kukatpally Sri. M.Krishna Rao and 8 local area Corporators. FTL of all tanks identified out of which fencing for 6 lakes were completed and 3 lakes to be developed as ponds for Ganesh immersion. Mayor appealed to the corporators to be alert in protecting lakes and its development.
Later H.w.Mayor instructed the officials to speed up the works apart from protection and beautification plantation should also be taken.
Corporators M.Srinivas Rao, P.Kavya Reddy, Sabeeha Begum, T.Shravan Kumar, P.Satish Babu, M.Narsing Yadav, K.Narender, J. Satyanarayana, participated in the meeting.
