Sri Narasimha Jaynathi celebrations of the Telangana‘s First Golden Temple were held on 6th May , 2020, as the state is in a phase of complete lockdown the celebrations were performed by the devotees only internally without any outside devotees physical presence. As part of celebrations elaborate vedic rituals including a Grand Maha Abhishekam, Sudarshana Narasimha Homa, Pallaki processions inside the temple premises, Grand Sri Lakshmi Narashimha Swamy Kalyanam and Escatic sankeerthans were performed for the pleasure of the Their Lordships. The celebrations concluded with a grand Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Pallaki and Ekanta Seva. As part of the grand annual celebrations Their Lorsdhips were adorned with beautiful flower garlands, Nava Vastras, new jewellery and many special dishes were offered for the pleasure of the Lord. On the previous day of Sri Narasimha Jaynathi the Lord gave Darshan in His Chandran Alankara. Many devotees from all parts of the world recieved Lord’s blessings by watching the LIVE telecast of the program through Hare Krishna Golden Temple You tube Channel .
Speaking on the occasion Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa (M.Tech IIT) – President of Hare Krishna Movement,Hyderabad & Regional President of Akshaya Patra Foundation (Telangana & AP) said that “ The auspicious Narasimha Jayanthi is the Appearance day of Lord Sri Narasimha who appeared to save his beloved devotee Prahlada. The celebrations which were performed strictly internally started with the Special Abhishekam to the Swayambhu deity of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy where in the Lord was bathed with Panchamritha (milk, curd, honey etc), PanchaGavya (5 auspicious items from cow), fruit juices, herbal powders, chosen flowers etc, amid ecstatic bhajans & Kirtans, later Sri Narasimha Homam for World Peace & Prosperity was performed. The evening marked the most cherished event of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Kalyanam, where in Mother Lakshmi was married to Lord Narasimha and special pallaki Utsavam amid devotees chanting vedic hymns and soul stirring Kirtans.”
He added that Hare Krishna Movement-Hyderabad prays to the presiding Deities Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy & Sri Radha Govinda to bless all the people with good health and prosperity and above all develop Bhakti towards the Lord. The celebrations were conducted for the pleasure of their Lordships and to bring auspiciousness & welfare to Humanity in this most crucial time of corona virus pandemic.
