The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today celebrated its 20th Foundation Day at the party headquarters Telangana Bhavan here in the City on a low key as Corona lockdown continues.
Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today unfurled the TRS flag at the party office today. The Chief Minister earlier garlanded the statues of Telangana Thalli and Prof Jayashankar, the party ideologue to mark 20th anniversary. KCR preferred to abstain from giving any speech due to lockdown effect.
K Keshava Rao, Madhusudhan Chary, working president, K T Rama Rao, Etala Rajender, B Vinod Kunar, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and some senior leaders attended.
The ministers conducted the party foundation day in their respective districts, towns and villages across the state.
TRS leaders like Karne Prabhakar, Danam Nagender and others have participated and donated blood on the occasion in the city.
In 2001, KCR had formed the TRS at Jal Drusham in the city and achieved Telangana state afterc14 years to become first Chief Minister of the youngest state.
Several welfare and development programs won the hearts of people are — Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, irrigation projects, Pension, marriage scheme to poor and others.
KCR got power again with people mandate.
He built Kaleshwaram multi- purpose project, brought waters to Siddipet barren lands by releasing waters at Ranganayak Sagar. Now the Chief Minister has plans to complete Palamur–Ranga Reddy and Sitharama project and others on a priority basis .
