Khadi India’s flagship store at Connaught Place in New Delhi has recorded high sales of 3.44 core rupees. The store belongs to Khadi and Village Industries Commission, KVIC. The sale from April to October this year has recorded 36.47 crores rupees as compared to 33.03 crores rupees during the same period last year.
Expressing satisfaction at the performance of the store, Chairman, KVIC, V.K Saxena, said it was due to the consistent appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi advocating the use of Khadi items, and various design interventions made by KVIC during the recent years.
