In Saudi Arabia, 35 people were killed including one Indian and four injured in a bus accident in Medina province yesterday. A provincial police spokesman said the victims include people of Asian and Arab nationalities. At least 10 Indians were travelling on the bus which crashed into a heavy vehicle near Medina in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The accident happened after a bus carrying pilgrims collided with another vehicle. The injured have been admitted to Al-Hmanah general hospital in Medina. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident. The External Affairs Ministry has asked its Mission in Jeddah to ascertain details of Indian victims in the bus crash in Saudi Arabia.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said this in a tweet and expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the accident. In a tweet, Mr Modi conveyed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayed for the quick recovery of injured.
