The Indian Railways, through Western Central Railway (WCR), extending from Kota to Bhopal division in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh respectively, has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 160 vacancies to the post of Apprentices in numerous trades comprising Fitter, Welder, COPA, Painter and Machinist through direct recruitment. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on October 4, 2019 and closes on November 5, 2019 by 5:00 pm.
Age criteria and fees
Candidates interested in applying for Apprentices post through Western Railway Recruitment must have attained 15 years of age as on November 5, 2019 and not be more than 24 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) for SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates as per the Govt. of India guidelines. Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit) mode or any other mode as applicable. SC/ST/Women and PWD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Educational criteria and eligibility
Candidates applying for Apprentices post through Western Railway Recruitment must have passed Matriculation/SSLC or equivalent with ITI in relevant trade from a recognised Board/Institute as specified in the notification.
Selection and pay scale
The selection of candidates as Apprentices through Western Railway Recruitment will be done through Shortlisting, Written Test/Trade Test and Document Verification. Candidates selected as Apprentices through Western Railway Recruitment will be paid emolument as per the Apprenticeship rules.
