Telangana worst-hit as heat intensifies across the country

Many parts of Telangana have been experiencing heatwave conditions for the last two weeks, and according to IMD data, the heatwave conditions are likely to extend till Wednesday in isolated parts of Telangana. The maximum temperature may touch 45°C in northern parts of Telangana, while in the rest of the state, the mercury may remain above 40°C.

Heatwave conditions in North India are expected to become severe in the coming days. Delhi NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh will experience sultry weather in the next two to three days. Met officials said, the first heatwave spell is being experienced in the northern belt. Delhi today woke up to a hot morning. As per the MeT department, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 44 degrees Celsius.
