A medium intensity earthquake of 5.8 magnitude hit Andaman group of Islands this morning. India Meteorological Department said the epicentre was off the coast of Mayabunder in Middle Andaman. The quake occurred at 6:09 a.m. No damage to property or casualty was reported.
