In Malaysia Open badminton, ace Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth will face fourth seed Chen Long of China in men’s singles quarterfinal in Kuala Lumpur today. The eighth seed Indian defeated Khosit Phetpradab of Thailand 21-11, 21-15 in the second round yesterday to seal a quarterfinal spot.
Srikanth next faces Chen Long, who holds a 5-1 head-to-head advantage over Srikanth. However, last time when they met at the Australian Open 2017, Srikanth won the battle. The 26-year-old is the lone Indian survivor in the tournament as PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and H.S.Prannoy have already crashed out.
