Operations at some airports, which were shut for civilian traffic, have resumed, this was informed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Earlier on Wednesday, operations were suspended at Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pathankot, Amritsar, Shimla, Kangra and Kullu for civilian air traffic. The decision was taken in view of the prevailing situation after the air strike conducted by the Indian Air Force on the terror camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held a high-level meeting to assess the security situation in the wake of the developments of the morning, including Pakistan claiming that it had shot down two Indian military jets and arrested two pilots. India said Pakistan jets intruded into the Indian air space in Rajouri and Poonch sectors.
