Over 13 crore devotees taken holy dip at Kumbh Mela so far

More than 13 crore devotees have taken the holy dip at the Kumbh Mela so far in Uttar Pradesh. The Mela administration is gearing for the next Royal bathing on 10th February on the occasion of Basant Panchami. The fire department has made elaborate arrangements for fire safety.

“Forty-three fire stations and 15 fire out-posts have been erected across the 3200-hectare Mela area. 157 fire tenders of different shape and size including firefighting bikes and Jeeps have been pressed into service. Two foam tenders, one Advance Rescue Tender and one firefighting boat have especially been included in the brigade.

Four thousand fire hydrants also have been intact at different places. More than one thousand fire brigade personnel have been put on duty. Chief Fire officer at Mela Pramod Kumar Sharma has said that fire department is Eveready to tackle any eventuality.
