A tragic accident has taken place in Guntur District on Wednesday afternoon and four people have lost their lives in this mishap. A car has hit a container truck on Chennai-Kolkata highway No.16 at Vankayalapadu of Edlapadu Mandal in the district.
Seven persons belonged to Mulakalacheruvu of Chittoor District, who were returning from a function in the car, met with the tragic fate. The car driver, a boy and two women breathed their last undergoing the treatment in the hospital.
The injured were rushed to a Guntur hospital and the condition of three of them is stated to be critical. Edlapadu police registered the case and took up the investigation.
