Amid the counting of the election results for Rajasthan, the Congress’ earlier comfortable lead has increased to 94 seats. The BJP’s lead has increased to 82 seats. The majority mark in the Rajasthan assembly is 100, in the 199-seat strong assembly.
Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot have both said that the Congress will form the government in Rajasthan. Sachin Pilot thanked the people for their support. Amid his reported rivalry with Sachin Pilot, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will decide who will become the state’s chief minister.
