Exit polls predict that the incumbent chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Telangana Rashtra Samithi seemed comfortably placed to retain Telangana despite the alliance between Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP). According to the exit poll conducted by India Today-Axis, My India predicted the ruling TRS is getting a whopping 46 per cent vote share, and it is expected to bag 71 to 91 seats in the 119-member assembly.
Exit poll results of Times Now-CNX, CVoter, India Today-My Axis and ABP News-Lokniti-CSDS for four of the five states that went to polls showed a close election in MP, with different agencies projecting different outcomes. The exit poll predictions of prominent agencies showed strong anti-incumbency in BJP-ruled states, with rival Congress running neck and neck with the saffron party in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh while leading the race in Rajasthan.
An aggregate of exit polls shows the BJP’s winning streak is set to end in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, both heading for the hung verdict. The Congress is tipped to win a clear majority in Rajasthan. The party is likely to lose Mizoram, the exit polls say.
