Congress party’s Ranga Reddy district president Kyama Mallesh on Thursday alleged that some leaders from the high command demanded him Rs 3 crore to secure party’s Assembly ticket from Ibrahimpatnam. He made these remarks after being denied the party ticket from the seat.The seat was allotted to grand alliance partner, TDP, by the party leadership.
“Sagar, son of AICC Screening Committee chairman Bhakta Charan Das called me up and demanded Rs 3 crore to allot the ticket to me. I have complete evidence to prove my allegations,” he alleged. Mallesh said he was feeling disappointed for not getting the party ticket despite the fact that he served the party for the last 35 years.
