Ardhanarishwara is a composite form of Shiva and Parvati. Ardhanarishvara represents the synthesis of masculine and feminine energies of the universe and illustrates how Shakti, the female principle of God, is inseparable from Shiva, the male principle of God. The union of these principles is exalted as the root and womb of all creation.

The divine conjunction of the two most powerful energies shiva and shakthi is being presented for the evening.Nataraja being the lord of dance and devi being the divine mother of the universe, there can be nothing more powerful and heavenly to embrace this occasion.
