N.Chandrababu Naidu CM of Andhra Pradesh participated in Eid prayers at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium here on Saturday.
The CM said that direct flight facility would be arranged for Haj pilgrims from Gannavaram airport next year and residential schools would be provided for Muslims in the state.
Major Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MLAs Bonda Umamaheswara Rao & Gadde Rammohan Rao, Collector B.Lakshmikantham, and community leaders among others participated in the prayers.
Scores of Muslims performed special prayers at Chitti Nagar Masjid, Haj building, Gymkhana grounds and at Ramalingeswar Nagar Katta Masjid in Vijayawada.
