On Wednesday in Bihar’s Gaya a doctor was tied to a tree as his wife and 12-year-old daughter was gang-raped at gunpoint by around 20 men. Police said that the attackers have been detained.
Nayyer Hasnain Khan, a senior police officer said,”The doctor and his family were on a motorcycle, passing through Sondiha when they were waylaid by youths carrying firearms. Ther raped the mother and the daughter after tying the father to a tree.”
Last night around 8 pm the doctor had left his clinic in Gaya’s Guraru Bazar and was heading home with his wife & daughter. The group of 20 people surrounded them when they were passing through a deserted stretch. The woman has identified two of the 20 detained the police said.
Khan said,”It also emerged during the investigation before this incident, the same group had snatched mobile phones and cash from a couple of students passing through the village.”
