In view of the call for Bharat Bandh, the Class 12 and 10 CBSE Board examinations, which were scheduled for today, in Punjab were postponed.
As a result of Bharat Bandh, all educational institutions in Punjab will remain closed. Also, all mobile internet services will stay suspended.
The Bharat Bandh is being called to stage a protest against the Supreme Court of India ruling that is allegedly diluting the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act of 1989.
