Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said he regrets consuming tobacco and supari.
He, however, wished someone had warned him of getting rid of the life-threatening habit 40 years ago.
Pawar was sharing his view on oral cancer during the launch of the Indian Dental Association’s (IDA) mission in Mumbai to eradicate oral cancer by 2022.
He suffered a lot due to surgery, the removal of his teeth, in swallowing food, the resulting difficulty in opening his mouth wide and talking.
