Srikakshi Gold Council general secretary Pottuluri Achary announced that all the gold marchants have downed their shutters across Andhra Pradesh as part of the statewide gold bandh in protest against the centre not granting special status to Andhra Pradesh.
Besides, the gold merchants have planned to take out a massive rally in Vijayawada in support of the special status.
