On Friday two mentally disabled children were killed allegedly by their maternal uncle in Hyderabad’s Chaitanyapuri area.
The 12-year-old twins siblings were killed because their uncle Mallikarjun Reddy could not see his sister deal with the “trauma” anymore. He has been arrested by the police and is being questioned.
Mallikarjun Reddy’s roommate Venkatrani Reddy & taxi driver Vivek Reddy (two other suspects) have also been arrested.
After an initial investigation, the police said that the twins had been strangled. The medical history of the twins- Srujan Reddy & Vishnuvardhan Reddy was not known at the time the incident was reported this morning.
The incident came to light when the owner of the house noticed the three accused trying to shift the bodies of the children from the house to his car. The owner of the house notified the police immediately, who came and arrested the three men.
