Incessant rains in Pune have claimed five lives yesterday night when a wall collapsed in Shakarnagar area of the city. The deceased include two women, two men and a child. Firefighter team retrieved the bodies from under the rubble and sent them to Sasson Hospital for post mortem.
A team of NDRF has been rushed to the site for further rescue operations as few more people are feared drowned in the floodwaters. The city and adjoining areas are witnessing heavy rains for the last 48 hours. Due to the rains the district administration has ordered closure of educational institutions for today.
