Learning Spiral won the Best Summative Assessment project title of 2022 by the e-Assessment Association, London.

Learning Spiral, an online exam solution provider won the Best Summative Assessment project title of 2022 (worldwide)  by the e-Assessment Association, London. They won the title for their excellent work done for the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. They successfully conducted India’s Largest AI proctored Online Semester Exam for MAKAUT [Formerly West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata] through their online examination system: UCanAssess.

The International e-Assessment Conference and Awards is organized by The e-Assessment Association. Founded in 2008. It’s a very popular World Wide competition in London.  The event was attended by all formative and summative assessment experts and practitioners from Workplace, Professional Awarding Organizations, Schools, Colleges, and Higher Education.

The winners of the 2022 International e-Assessment Awards were announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of the 21st of June 2022. The award was sponsored by Certify Assessment Solutions and the headline sponsor British Council.

The International e-Assessment award aims at recognising excellence and celebrating many excellent projects demonstrating the value that technology brings to high-quality assessment. These awards are also an excellent opportunity to globally showcase the best practice, research and innovation in testing and assessment, where the use of technology has enabled transformation, improved outcomes and enhanced learning and teaching.

On winning the prestigious award Mr Manish Mohta, Managing Director, Learning Spiral, commented “We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated and winning the title for the International e-Assessment Conference and Award 2022. Owing to this expertise and hard work, Learning Spiral won the International e-Assessment Award, for their amazing work done for the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, which is one of the best technical universities in West Bengal. It is an AI-enabled solution that covers the entire range of assessment practices and processes whether offline, online, subjective/viva-voice or self-scoring.

Through their online examination system UCanAssess, the university drive-in numbers were significantly impressive as total tests delivered annually were 1.5 million, total test-takers annually were 300K, the total number of paper setters was 3000+, the Total number of papers generated was 3500+, the total number of questions made was 200K, the daily number of exams was 120K, Team for technical support were more than 250. Also, the impact was absolutely remarkable as 99.8% of eligible students took the test, attendance was better than physical tests, students’ grievances close to NIL, Test to transcript time was reduced by 50 %, and Total cost was reduced by 50% for the university, and Risks of paper leakage eliminated with more secure & automatic paper creation.
